Issued at 1231 PM CDT THU MAR 28 2024

The mid-level trough is moving east of the area, and it's a
beautiful day across Central Alabama. Sunny skies will allow
temperatures to warm into the mid 60s north to lower 70s south,
but an 8 to 12 mph northerly breeze might make it feel a bit
cooler at times, especially in the shade. Dewpoints are running on
the lower side of guidance due to the dry airmass, and humidity
is very low across the area.

A deep layer ridge will build over the eastern CONUS tonight, and
high surface pressure will center over Central Alabama. The
pressure gradient will finally weaken allowing winds to go calm
beneath clear skies. Some patchy frost will be possible across
the northern half of the area before sunrise, especially in the
valley locations, as temperatures fall into the mid 30s north to
lower 40s south. Despite the chilly start, we enter a warming
trend beginning tomorrow as low-level winds become southwesterly.
Highs will be in the lower to mid 70s with sunny skies.
