Temperatures for the period averaged 40 degrees across the state which was +5.5 degrees from
normal. High temperatures averaged from 50 in the West to 51 in the East. Departure from
normal high temperatures ranged from +2 degrees from normal in the West to +9 degrees
from normal in the East. Low temperatures averaged from 30 degrees in the West to 31
degrees in the East. Departure from normal low temperature ranged from +4 degrees from
normal in the West to +7 degrees from normal in the East.
Precipitation (liq. equ.) for the period totaled 9.94 inches statewide which was + 6.36 inches from
normal. Precipitation totals by climate division, West 13.84 inches, Central 10.54 inches, Bluegrass
8.56 inches and East 7.74 inches, which was +10.07, + 6.66, + 5.47 and + 4.16 inches respectively from
normal. By station, precipitation totals ranged from a low of 0.49 inches at Cumberland Gap to a high of
31.48 inches at Paducah.
