Temperatures for the period averaged 42 degrees across the state which was +6.75 degrees from
normal. High temperatures averaged from 51 in the West to 53 in the East. Departure from
normal high temperatures ranged from +2 degrees from normal in the West to +10 degrees
from normal in the East. Low temperatures averaged from 32 degrees in the West to 33
degrees in the East. Departure from normal low temperature ranged from +6 degrees from
normal in the West to +8 degrees from normal in the East.
Precipitation (liq. equ.) for the period totaled 8.20 inches statewide which was + 5.55 inches from
normal. Precipitation totals by climate division, West 11.14 inches, Central 8.50 inches, Bluegrass
7.55 inches and East 6.40 inches, which was + 8.30, + 5.62, + 5.27 and + 3.80 inches respectively from
normal. By station, precipitation totals ranged from a low of 0 inches at Cumberland Gap to a high of
28.62 inches at Paducah.
